It's a......

The big reveal was today! We had a friend offer to make us a gender reveal cake which made it fun for the family to find out.  Joshua was rather upset and left the room (he was so sure it was a girl), Jonas and Logan both shouted hooray they had guessed it right, Jesse was a little disappointed but only pouted until he got his piece of cake! Nathaniel and I are grateful for any healthy baby! We have been blessed to have such great boys, we know this is what Heavenly Father knows we can handle. I would rather have 6 boys than 6 girls :)
I guess all of the special girl dresses I have crocheted will go to granddaughters or something. Our little baby boy was so cute in the ultrasound, he is very active and constantly had a hand in front of his face so we couldn't get a very clear picture of the nose and mouth. His hands had all fingers curled into a fist except the thumb was sticking out! We got to count the fingers and toes and the heartbeat was strong. What more could we ask for (besides a healthy delivery)? I am at peace with what we have. It's also a good thing we live surrounded by lots of land, trees, and family!

Foundation

The workers were here bright and early at 7:30 am to begin pouring the foundation. I told the boys, "there is Grandma and Grandpa's house, it is kind of small." Jesse then replied, "but how can they fit, their heads will stick out!" Took me a minute to explain that that was just the floor of the house and that the walls will be tall!

I had to laugh when I first saw this photo, I didn't realize one of the guys in the back is smiling for us.

I added this picture in so you could see the grapes that are growing. There are grapes on almost every branch!

Weekend Hike

Nathaniel took Joshua and Jonas on a hiking trip Friday and Saturday, along with David, Cody, and Abi. Joshua almost wasn't able to go because the previous day we had gone to the slough and he got burnt bad on his shoulders and back! When he tried on his pack Friday morning it hurt too bad, luckily he was able to move his things into a small backpack (the one Jesse uses on hikes) and did ok with that. I am glad they all came home safe and sound! I had a party with the three younger boys that included a movie, treat, and sleeping on the airbed in the living room.

Jesse's 6th Birthday!

It was Jesse's turn for a friend birthday party but unfortunately his birthday is during the first full week of Summer Break so none of his friends came. But, with the cousins next door and his brothers, there were still plenty of kids! Jesse had a pirate themed birthday with a treasure chest cake. He got a bunny from Grandma and Grandpa Burt (he carries it around with him for most of the day), some money from Granny and Grandad (you should have seen his eyes when he saw the five dollar bill), some school work books, walkie talkies, and more. With two of the kids birthdays so close (Wesley and Jesse) Logan has been constantly talking about his birthday even though it is still a long ways off.

Jonas as a Gardener

On one of the last days of school, Jonas' class did a play on germination, metamorphosis, and other science topics. Jonas and his friend Hap were Gardeners. Jonas did so well even though he was feeling sick from a cold.

Wesley turns 2!

Wesley is such a big boy now! He turned 2 on the 11th and we had a small get together with cousins. He only had four presents, but the first one he opened was two giant containers of bubbles. He was so excited about them! After every one of the other presents he opened, he kept going back to the bubbles wanting to play with them.
This type of picture use to be Jesse and Logan but now Wesley is big enough to be a helper in the kitchen!

I did turtles (from Finding Nemo) for Wesley's cupcakes. They were all suppose to be green, but I like the different bright colors.

Wesley with his mouth full of yummies!

Grandma Burt made him a bunny and Wesley loved pointing out the nose, eyes, etc.  The bunnies colors exactly match Wesley's favorite blankie!

Camping Trip!

We decided to go on a camping trip to the Dungeness Spit with David and Kristi. We were able to bring all our bikes and had a great time riding around exploring as a family! I think the kids were on the bikes 90 percent of the time for that two days.

All Wesley wanted to do was get into the van and play in there!

Logan looking at "the spit" while hiking the trail down to the water.

It wasn't too long after I took these pictures that they all had their socks and shoes off and pants rolled up high!

Wesley, suprisingly, stayed away from the water and was happy exploring the vast amount of rocks to be found on the beach.
