I know it's not summer yet, but the weather thinks differently. We had some fun in the hot sun while Nathaniel was away on interviews. I tried to use up all the boys' energy so I would be less stressed without my other half! Some neighbors came and cut down the big dead tree in our front yard. The boys spent three hours just watching the action and commenting "wow, did you see that!" Now we have this big stump thing that the boys love wacking with sticks and climbing. Oh, the entertainment of boys! I am not sure if the people are going to come finish the job, they kept having saw problems.
Logan just chilled on the porch eating snacks while all the action was going on in the hot sun.
Our sprawling rose bush by the porch has now blossomed! We have about five different rose plants that are so beautiful!!
Since we are having a couple of 90 degree days, I decided to get the pool out. The boys play in it from the moment school gets out. Logan will get in for about a minute before wanting to get out again.
Logan has his own little wading pool that he and mommy stick their feet in.

Pack the Park
On Friday we went as a family to support the High School Ladies Softball team. There were activities going on while the teams played their games. There was a bouncy house, freewill donation dinner, face painting, and a train ride. They played music from speakers and Nathaniel caught Jonas doing a cool dance, but when asked if he was dancing, Jonas denied dancing. It made me laugh to watch Nathaniel try to recreate Jonas' dance moves for me! The boys favourite activity was the train ride, they never wanted to get off! It was a beautiful spring evening to spend outdoors running off some energy (the boys' energy!) and mom and dad got to sit and watch baseball!

Blessings!
We had a wonderful Easter Sunday giving thanks for all the tender mercies that our Heavenly Father and Jesus have given us. For those who have not heard, Nathaniel found out that he passed his National Licensure Exam!! It was such a blessing to him. Lately he has applied for jobs at various places in Washington and just in the last couple of days has had news. He got a call a couple nights ago from a private practice that has offices in Silverdale, Poulsbo, and Port Orchard. They weren't advertising any openings, but Nathaniel called them and gave him his contact information anyway. In the phone call he got back, the owner basically ended up giving him an interview over the phone. From what I heard, Nathaniel sounded so smart and professional. The owner asked Nathaniel to send in his resume, so we hope their is an opportunity available there! Then, yesterday Nathaniel received an email asking for an interview at a place near Tacoma. He will be flying to Washington in about a week for that interview. It is nice to be moving forward some more along our path instead of feeling trapped in limbo! I want the next few months to go quickly because I am excited to have our new little one join our family, but I know this stage in our life will be over too quickly and I need to slow down and enjoy what is going on now. We miss all our family, especially after watching some of our home videos of past reunions. We hope to see everyone in the near future wherever we move to!
Easter
We did our Easter baskets on Saturday so we could focus on the right reasons on Easter Sunday. Logan picked up about four eggs before he sat down and proceeded to eat every candy out of his basket! We had to sneak the rest of his goodies away from him. I love the picture above because of Jesse's expression in the background.
Logan with a mouthful of candy!
A coworker of Nathaniel's held an Easter egg hunt/dinner at their farm. The day was beautiful and the boys had so much fun doing a pinata, finding eggs, confettie egg smash, and yummy food/desserts!
There was a motorized little bike at the farm that Jesse and Logan just loved!!! It would move forward at a slow pace when you pressed your foot down on a button. Logan could do it by himself except for the stearing part. He would often run off into the grass, bulldoze a chair, or run into someone's legs. You can see evidence of their treats smeared on their faces. We did color eggs, but I didn't get any pictures of it because I was busy doing most of Jesse's eggs. We also baked easter egg sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies that daddy could take to his Home Teaching families.

March Madness!
No I am not talking about Basketball March Madness! I am giving you all the rundown on the madness that has occurred in the Burt house for the month of March! The entire month has been way above average temperatures, so it has been feeling like summer instead of spring. Thus, we spent almost every waking moment outside.
This is a picture of Joshua's boat that he made in the kitchen/dining room. It even comes with the hanging laundry that he rigged! Since watching 'Man vs. Wild', the boys have been trying to 'survive' by building lean-to's, etc. Here we are enjoying a nice afternoon on the front porch during Spring Break.
Joshua showing off his talent! This was at the end of Spring Break and he was getting bored!
First lawn mowing of the season had all the boys wanting to help.
Our beautiful, huge lilac bush out front that has blossomed along with our growing eldest son!
I guess this picture was taken a few months ago, but it was so cute I had to include it!
Our daffodil's out front!
Logan just loves ringing the bell on Jonas' bike.
Our own Super-Jesse and his sidekick Logan playing with the hose and water bucket in the shade on an 80+ degree day.
