Poor Logan

On Monday, Logan began coming down with a cold (he has had several bad ones this past winter). As the day progressed, he got worse and by Tuesday he was to the point of having a hard time breathing while just sitting. I decided I had better take him into the doctor just in case. Logan threwup at the doctors and seemed to look a little better, then the power went out and we were in an exam room with no windows. Luckily the power came back on five minutes later and the doctor was able to come in and listen to Logan. As it turns out, Logan has asthma! The cold he got triggered the asthma which is usually the most common trigger in children for asthma. After a five minute treatment with a nebulizer, Logan had a complete turnaround. I can't believe how much better he was in such a short time. He was talking to me, smiling, and when we got home he was running up the stairs!! So, now he gets to have his very own Penguin friend (nebulizer machine) to do treatments at home, and he is very excited about it. He goes back to the doctor next week to start on an inhaler. Poor kid!
