We spent Labor Day weekend on a looooooong camping trip to Salt Creek. We left early Thursday morning and set up camp and explored the tidepools and campground. Nathaniel took some of the kids to kayak at a nearby sandy beach. Friday we went up to Hurricane Ridge and did some hiking and sightseeing. It is so beautiful up there! After Hurricane Ridge, we went to the Port Angeles discovery park to play and have pizza. Saturday we spent time at the East beach of Crescent Lake. It is a very great spot for swimming with floaties and stays shallow for quite a ways so it was warm! Our time there was cut a bit short because when we got out the food, the hornets came a calling! Sunday we attended church in Port Angeles and then went and played in the park again. Then we headed back to camp to play games and ride bikes. That was the most relaxing and good day of the entire trip. Monday morning we were all ready to pack up and go home! I would have to say that the first two nights of sleeping were not the best because of Brigham crying out lots throughout the night. The last two nights were actually quite good as far as camping goes. The hardest day was the third day. The boys were getting bored and whiny and only wanted to play on the Ipad.

We took the trailer so we could fit in all the bikes and scooters and the big green tent and some kid kayaks.
We were visited by deer, ravens, and a lot of raccoons!
Jonas got sucked into the world of reading (Twilight series).
