Last Hiking Trip

Nathaniel, Joshua, Cody, David, and Jeff went on one more hiking trip of the season before school started. They were gone three days and Joshua and Nathaniel both said it was a killer hike. Mommy and the other boys got to stay home and clean out the van to get ready to sell and pack for our last camping trip over Labor Day.

Dooley Reunion at the Beach!

This past week was awesome!! We got to have all of the Dooley family come visit, baptize Jonas, and go to the Ocean. It was one of the highlights of our summer. Being pregnant, I cried my eyes out at Jonas' baptism (even got tears when I was gathering up all the stuff to take to the church for the baptism)! I am so proud of Jonas!

Yep, definitely someone missing in this picture (I have had multiple feelings that we are missing a child, even before we became pregnant with baby #6)!

These pictures are of the first night when some of us went to Rialto Beach to see the sunset. It was getting cold and super windy!

The second day was spent at the beautiful Second Beach. Hardly any wind, lots of fine sand, and lots of family made this day the best day!

Wesley's chest hair...I mean chest sand!

Nathaniel and Joshua playing catch.

The younger kids climbing over the driftwood.

I have lots of videos, but will have to put those on a different post once I upload them!

Grandma and Grandpa Come Home!

When it came time for Grandma and Grandpa Burt to arrive home from their mission, the kids all waited halfway down the hill and then came running and screaming "they're here, they're here"! We are so happy to have them home with us again! Sorry some of the pictures aren't the best, I was trying to take pictures and not ball my eyes out!

4th of July!

The week of the 4th we set up two tents in the yard and let the kiddos sleep outside for a couple of nights.

Putting in some more work hours on Grandma and Grandpa's house.

On the 4th, there were games at the park and then of course there was the parade with candy!

It was rather sunny and warm.

It's a......

The big reveal was today! We had a friend offer to make us a gender reveal cake which made it fun for the family to find out.  Joshua was rather upset and left the room (he was so sure it was a girl), Jonas and Logan both shouted hooray they had guessed it right, Jesse was a little disappointed but only pouted until he got his piece of cake! Nathaniel and I are grateful for any healthy baby! We have been blessed to have such great boys, we know this is what Heavenly Father knows we can handle. I would rather have 6 boys than 6 girls :)
I guess all of the special girl dresses I have crocheted will go to granddaughters or something. Our little baby boy was so cute in the ultrasound, he is very active and constantly had a hand in front of his face so we couldn't get a very clear picture of the nose and mouth. His hands had all fingers curled into a fist except the thumb was sticking out! We got to count the fingers and toes and the heartbeat was strong. What more could we ask for (besides a healthy delivery)? I am at peace with what we have. It's also a good thing we live surrounded by lots of land, trees, and family!

Foundation

The workers were here bright and early at 7:30 am to begin pouring the foundation. I told the boys, "there is Grandma and Grandpa's house, it is kind of small." Jesse then replied, "but how can they fit, their heads will stick out!" Took me a minute to explain that that was just the floor of the house and that the walls will be tall!

I had to laugh when I first saw this photo, I didn't realize one of the guys in the back is smiling for us.

I added this picture in so you could see the grapes that are growing. There are grapes on almost every branch!
