The past two weekends have been snow campouts for Nathaniel and Joshua. Two weekends ago, they tried to go camping but after almost sliding into the ditch and then hiking for about 20 minutes, they decided to turn around and head home because of the conditions. On their way out of the mountains, they came upon a man who was hiking out with a walking stick. His vehicle had become stuck and he was trying to hoof it back down to Port Angeles (he would have had to spend the night on the mountain, he still had maybe 10 miles to cover). Nathaniel and Joshua gave him a ride back into town. I am sure my guys were a blessing and answer to this man's prayer.
Last weekend was the Scouts annual igloo campout. Nathaniel decided to tag along and it sounds like they all had a good time! The original place they were going to stay at was closed for avalanche control when they drove up there, so they ended up at a new place that was actually better weather for them. They even had cell reception just in case I went into labor and needed to get a hold of them!
