Birthday Update!
I know it has been almost a month since Logan's birthday, but things were so crazy that week I think I am now recovered! Nathaniel had to attend another meeting in Aberdeen and was gone from Sunday-Wednesday(Logan's birthday). While he was gone, the baby and Jonas got the stomach flu! Since we had sickos, it was just a small family celebration for Logan. He enjoyed his balloons and his birthday gifts. His cake was a pokey monster (I will post pictures later). Anyway, now on to Nathaniel's birthday. He got a new camera a week before his birthday and decided to start using it instead of having me wrap it up. So, because he had the camera early, he figured he could open his birthday cards early too! On his actual birthday, the boys had swim lessons to go to, then we had cake and sherbet. The boys did paint some picture/cards for Nathaniel to have on his birthday. He didn't get many gifts because his big present was buying the plane tickets to NJ, we leave in a week!!!

Snow and Sickness!
So, the one Sunday that we don't have 1:00 church we have to leave by 9 for Stake Conference. That day is today and we woke up to snow!! Of course the boys had to go play in it (it will most likely be gone by tonight) before getting ready for church, but then Jonas threw up! Nathaniel was going to leave this afternoon for another two day work meeting on the coast, so he decided to be the only one to attend stake conference and then just leave from there to work. Jonas seems better and went outside to help build a snowman. Hopefully nobody else gets this stomach bug! I really enjoy seeing snow on the trees, all the blinds and curtains are open so I can enjoy the beauty of freshly fallen snow!

Catch-up
I finally downloaded the pictures and videos from New Year's Eve and our trip to Pacific Beach. I forgot how much fun we had with our cousins on New Year's Eve! David and Kristi invited us over to their place for a party. We played limbo, orange rolling race, blowing ping-pong game, and much more!
During Winter Break, we were going to go play in some snow in the mountains, but there was NO SNOW! So, we decided to head to the beach! We went with David and Kristi's family to Pacific Beach and stayed in a very comfortable cottage at the military resort. They had a building that had a huge hot tub, movie theater, and a fun zone that had toys, games, climbing wall, etc. The beach was really windy and rather cold, but we braved it for the kids sake. Wesley's favorite game was to toss the football and then run after it as the wind blew it away! On the way home, we stopped at a place that had go karts and bumper cars. Lots of fun!

Playing with Christmas Presents
We a good haul this Christmas! The boys have plenty of fun activities, games, toys that most require some assembly so we spent a large amount of time on Christmas putting together toys. This kept them from being bored so quickly like last year. Among the great gifts were a marshmellow shooter, rocking horse, nuts and bolts models, roller blades, fireproof lock box, remote control trucks, playdough set, and lots of books!
This is Wesley letting me know that it is nap time!
Joshua and Cody doing Origami people.
Jonas and Abby playing spoons.
Jesse playing with Logan's art set, and Logan playing with Wesley's rocking horse. I am glad they are willing to share their toys today-unlike yesterday.
Christmas Break Activities!
This year we got to make gingerbread ninjas!! The boys had so much fun decorating them, and now we have ninja cookie cutters to use for whenever we want to (like for birthdays)!
For Christmas Eve, we did the Nativity scene with stickers while Daddy read the story of Christ's Birth. Jesse isn't too happy at that moment in the picture because one of his stickers ripped. (Luckily he was happy a minute later after I fixed it).
A few weeks ago, Jonas kept asking me to give him another sewing lesson. I said that I would on the first day of Christmas break and sure enough, he reminded me on the first day of break. We made pillows/pillowcases out of some fun material I had handy. The boys love them! (in the picture, Wesley looks like he is giving Logan a hug, but he is actually trying to shove them all off so he can get on the bench!

First Snow of the Season!
I still for some reason can't figure out how to put videos from our new camera on to youtube and then onto the blog, so you all just get to follow the link to watch the video on youtube. We had great fun this morning playing with the bit of snow that fell, it was gone by dinner, but with school on a two hour delay it gave us enough time to enjoy playing in the snow!

New Living Room
Mama and Papa Burt have sold their baby grand piano and the Living Room looks very different without it! I have only ever seen it with the piano, so it is new to me to not have it there. We have moved furniture around and filled up space with the Christmas tree. November has been the month of the Dentist! Our dentist will not see more than two people from the same family in one day, so I have had to space out the appointments. Then, some of the boys had cavities to fix, and Joshua had to see a Pediatric Dentist and an Orthodontist for his spacing issues!! I never want to set foot in a dentist office again (at least not for a while)! I always stress out about those visits because of mine and the boys' history of teeth troubles. Anyway, Last night there was an earthquake! It was a small one, and I didn't really feel any shaking. I woke up because of a loud noise at the back of the house like someone slamming a door or some large animal smacking into the wall! Then a sound by our bedroom door of a picture swishing back and forth on the wall, but there is no picture there!! I was scared!!! But after laying there listening for any other strange noises, I was calming down when Jonas calls out to me in a very frightened voice! That forced me to jump out of bed and see what he needed, and check the house for burglars or something. Glad to know it was just an earthquake, but man my imagination was vivid last night.
Logan being silly!
